As a Licensed Therapist you need to know how to: Provide group and individual therapy using therapeutictechniques and other outcomes based approaches appropriate to groupfunctioning and skills based upon the information gathered during thecomprehensive initial assessment. Conduct intake interviews with patient individually and/orin groups to assess appropriateness for program and to build care plansobtaining patient diagnostic information, history of illness, culturalassessment, strengths, screening and risk assessments, trauma, familyand social history. Develop and implement treatment plan for stabilization,mobilization, and disposition appropriate for patient care that areindividualized and goal focused within 24 hours of patient admission. Document group and individual activities as well as progressand response to treatment in the patients medical records as needed. Assess coping mechanisms and current functioning in thefollowing areas: mindfulness, distress tolerance, emotion regulation,inter-personal effectiveness. Plan and develop group and individual treatments incoordination with a psychiatrist and as a member of a multi-discipline team. Implement group and individual treatments ensuring a safe,comfortable therapeutic environment. Ensures the follow through of treatment goals bycoordinating post program care YOUR EXPERIENCE.
