We'll celebrate milestones and acknowledge the value ofspirituality in healing.We're proud of what we know, which includes how much there is to learn.Your day.As an ED Tech with us, you need to know how to:Obtain patients vital signs to include blood pressure, pulse and temperatureand understand normal ranges and changes. Inform RNs or Physician of changesin vital signs.Collect blood, urine, saliva and stool samples for laboratory analysis.Insert Foley catheters, perform straight catheters, and provide wound care.Fit patients for casts and/or hard splints, crutches and other devices.Perform 12-lead EKG's.Provide instruments to doctors and nurses as they perform procedures onpatients.Assist with the safe movement of patients, applying principles of safepatient handling.Assist with admitting patients into the ER, schedule patient transfers,reinforce patient education/discharge instructions as given by the RN.Apply, check and document restraints as directed by the RN or Physician.Perform the duties of unit secretary. Maintain patient charts, respond tophone calls, maintain daily assignment board, provide equipmentcare/cleaning, perform errands associated with patient care and provideaccurate information about the patient with interdisciplinary team.Demonstrate and adhere to the standards of infection prevention.Your experience.We hire people, not resumes.
