Casey's Pond Resident Aide in Steamboat Springs, Colorado

Job Summary

Responsible for assisting residents in performing basic personal hygiene and activities of daily living that are appropriate in meeting their overall health needs and goals. Assists with light housekeeping of resident apartments and Community common areas and supportive devices. Assists with Life Enrichment and general support efforts for residents? overall success. Some food service and assistance when needed to ensure proper diet.

Essential Functions

  • Responsible for daily of resident?s routine activities of daily living.

  • Assist residents and family members in moving residents into community

  • Provides companionship and supports Life Enrichment activities

  • Assists with dining needs; take and deliver food orders, ensures hydration needs are met, cleans up room and food when complete

  • Provides support and care with resident pets

  • Cleans wheelchairs, walkers and lifts

  • Assists with residents in connecting with loved ones, such as technology

  • Delivers packages and good to residents

  • Monitors and restocks needed Personal Protective Equipment as directed by clinical

  • Become familiar with resident preferences in order to personalize their care.

  • Assist residents with social, personal and health care needs as required.

  • Provide oversight and intervention in order to maintain safety of residents.

  • Provide housekeeping services to include resident?s apartment, cleaning clothing or linens as required.

  • Assists with community?s needs and administrative deliverables.

  • Other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience

  • Understanding and ability to use proper and safe food handling techniques.

  • Understanding and ability to use proper and safe housekeeping practices.

  • 3 months experience working with senior adults preferred.

  • Must be able to read, write and speak the English language.

  • Must possess excellent customer service skills.

Working Environment

  • Position requires strenuous physical work. Heavy lifting, pushing, pulling of objects up to 100 pounds occasionally and/or up to 50 pounds frequently.

  • Exposure to blood borne pathogens, body excretions and communicable diseases possible.

  • Sits, stands, bends and moves frequently during working hours.

  • Is subject to frequent interruptions.

  • Interacts with residents, family members, and visitors frequently
