This position is a part-time positionfor about 10 hours per week.PRIMARY PURPOSE:The Family Medicine clerkship director oversees the 3 rd year Family Medicinecore clerkship by overseeing the delivery of all components of the FamilyMedicine core clerkship curriculum and developing curriculum and coordinatingwith the RVU Primary Care faculty for delivery of Family Medicine content foryears 1 and 2.ResponsibilitiesESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:* Responsible for development and oversight of all aspects of the3rd yearFamily Medicine core curriculum including clinical assessment.* Works in conjunction with the Associate Dean/Clinical Affairs and ClinicalAffairs Manager in the recruitment of new Family Medicine adjunct faculty.* Works in conjunction with the Associate Dean/Clinical Affairs and othermedical educators to develop appropriate faculty development for the FamilyMedicine adjunct faculty.* Works in conjunction with the Associate Dean/Clinical Affairs indeveloping a strong didactic component for the core Family Medicine clerkship.* Assists in the development of assessment tools including standardizedpatients for evaluation of Family Medicine competencies* Serves on the Clinical Education Committee.* Serves as the liaison between Clinical Affairs and Family Medicinepreceptors.* Other duties as assigned by the Dean or his/her designee.QualificationsREQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:* Excellent organizational and communication skills* Excellent computer skills.* Ability to work with confidential material with an attention to detail.* Ability to multi-task and problem solve innovatively.* Ability to work effectively in a team-based environment.* Effective time management skills and ability to meet deadlines.* Excellent interpersonal skills.MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:* Terminal degree (Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine or Medical Doctor Degree)* Board certification in Family Medicine* Good standing with all regulatory and governmental boards and agencies.* Eligible for coverage by college's malpractice insurer, if applicable.PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:* Experience in medical education* Experience in GMEPI106061990
