We'll celebrate milestones and acknowledge the value ofspirituality in healing.We're proud of what we know, which includes how much there is to learn.Your day.As a Medical Lab Technician you need to know how to:Perform serologic, chemical, bacteriologic, immunohematologic (bloodbank), and microscopic procedures and related duties, to obtain data foruse in diagnosis and treatment of disease. Perform accurate and appropriatetesting on laboratory specimens/collections according to establishedlaboratory protocol and procedures. Report results in a timely manner.Troubleshoot instruments, equipment, reagents, and patientspecimen/product problems using standard laboratory technique as required.Perform laboratory quality control, including reporting discrepancies,troubleshooting according to established procedures and protocols. Takeappropriate action to assure quality results/products are provided for useby physicians, nurses, patients. Perform daily, weekly, monthly, asneeded maintenance and calibrations on instruments and equipment to meet allquality requirements. Conduct verification tests on new products,instruments, procedures which includes comparisons, statistical analysisas reqPerform quality audit data collection, technical policy/proceduredevelopment, inspection assistance, donor files under the direction oflaboratory management. Maintain workflow in clinical laboratory throughproficiency in testing and maintaining work areas, supply stock,monitoring and assistance in management of inventory.Assist in training and orientation of new associates.Your experience.We hire people, not resumes.
