Apex Life Sciences is looking for an Entry-Level Lab Technician for aMicrobiology testing facility in Lafayette, CO.This facility is a brand new lab for a company with a huge internationalpresence. In this role you will work along side full time staff to assistclients in their testing needs. It is 2-3 month contract role with thepossibility to go perm or be extended.Current students this is great opportunity for you to work while in school.Evening shift a couple nights a week with shifts on weekends as well. Ifyou're currently in pursuit of a scientific degree in the Boulder area andwould like an opportunity to gain some industry lab experience then apply now!Lab Technician basic responsibilities include but are not limited to;Demonstrates and promotes the company visionRegular attendance and punctualityReads, understands and follows management system requirements as relevant toresponsibilities, including but not limited to requirements found in theQuality Manual, SOPs, Local Work Instructions and MethodsAdhere to all health, safety, and environmental regulations relative toassigned analytical workMaintain and assist others in maintaining a clean, safe work environment.Registration of incoming samples (as needed) and keep an up to date recordof them.Data entry in system in a timely and accurate manner.Lab testing on all incoming samples while maintaining an accurate, efficientand timely manner.Identify process difficulties and report these together with proposedsolutions to supervisor.Maintain a perpetual state of readiness and willingness to respond to thequeries and needs of clients, staff, and co-workers.Identify non-conformances and out-of-specificationsConducts all activities in a safe and efficient mannerPerforms other duties as assignedThe ideal candidate would possess:In pursuit of an AS or BS degree in Microbiology, Food Sciences,Chemistry, Biology, Biochemistry, or related fieldTeam spirit and positive attitude are essential to being successful in thisroleStrong computer, scientific, and organizational skillsExcellent communication (oral and written) and attention to detailAbility to work independently and as part of a team, self-motivation,adaptability, and a positive attitudeAbility to learn new techniques, perform multiple tasks simultaneously,keep accurate records, follow instructions, and comply with company policiesBasic Minimum Qualifications:High school diploma or equivalentMust have experience in plating, plate reading, and sample preparationWilling to work overtime, weekends and holidays as neededPlease send all UPDATED resumes to Anthony Miller ataamiller@apexlifesciences.comEEO EmployerApex is an Equal Employment Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer.
