SemGroup / Rose Rock Midstream Representative - Safety in Hudson, Colorado
The Safety Representative will report to the Director, PipelineOperations, with a dotted-line relationship to the corporate safety group.The position requires the ability to respond within the given operating areaand provide expert guidance and consultation concering all safety matters thatthe workgroup encounters while performing tasks. Adherence to company safetypolicies and practices is a must, and the Safety Representative must beknowlegeable and engaged in all activities to ensure the safety implicationsof those activities are properly identified and mitigated. Leading by exampleis of special importance for the Safety Representative. Specifically, theposition requires the ability to:Provide Operations and Field Support for normal operations and emergencyresponseAct as the safety Subject Matter ExpertProvide proper incident investigation and documentationConduct/participate in safety tailgate meetingsProvide support and expertise for Safety Audits, Inspections, and ReviewsFacilitate incident investigation through the use of "5 Whys",Taproot, or similar methodologyPerform or assist with industrial hygiene monitoringPerform other duties as assignedLead/participate in safety meetingsAssist with work planning in a team environmentPerform field worksite visits to observe, audit, consult, and directsafe work activitiesWork with the corporate safety team to facilitate safety change in the fieldas neededStay current with company, regulatory and/or industry changes related tosafetyAdministrate the safety training program for assigned operating groupsAssist with the DOT driver program as needed in the assigned operating areaWork as the leader or part of a team to investigate incidentsProvide oversight for contractors working in the assigned operating area perthe Contractor Safety ManualBe proficient with use of MSDSOnline, Intelex, CDMS, ISNetworld,I-Net, VeriforceCoordinate annual safety training to include fire extinguisher use, auditorytesting, NORM and Hazwoper refresher trainingRequirements:Education and/or Experience, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform eachessential job duty satisfactorily.
