VCA Highlands Ranch Animal Specialty & Emergency Center is a 24-hour emergency/specialty practice in Highlands Ranch, Colorado.

VCA Highlands Ranch Specialty and Emergency is a 24/7 emergency and specialty hospital. We have 4 specialties and are looking to expand. Our current specialties include internal medicine, surgery, dentistry and oncology.

We are looking to hire a full-time swing shift veterinary technician in our ICU and Emergency department. Technician duties include but are not limited to: venipuncture, IV catheter placement, laboratory procedures, patient care, medication administration with all routes, appropriate, frequent and concise medical record documentation, appropriate and accurate patient history taking, knowledge of general anesthesia and sedation monitoring including adverse reactions and responses, knowledge of common animal diseases and processes, safety protocols and procedures of radiology including limits and landmarks for appropriate radiographic images, knowledge of CPR, and comfortable in client education.

Competitive pay (starting at $19-$21/hr for licensed technicians dependent on experience), VCA provides PTO, including sick days, Health, vision and dental insurance. 401k is offered. • Must have documented previous experience

• Hold a current CVT license

• Must have surgery experience

• Flexibility in hours this position is for swing and overnight shifts

• Customer service skills

• Working knowledge of computers

• Excellent communications skills

• Capable of being cross-trained as receptionist and kennel assistant

• Team player willing to learn new techniques and treatments
