Days and hours will vary, must be available to work weekends and holidays,and is subject to call outs. The work week will consist of five, eight hourdays or four, ten hour days. Shifts may start as early as 8:00am and endas late as 9:00pm, paid monthly.Requirements: HS diploma or GED Must be 21 years of age by date of hire Must possess a valid driver's license and a good driving record One to three years recent demonstrated experience working in a fastpaced and sometime difficult environment Demonstrated excellent customer service skills Prior experience or association with law enforcement is highly desired Spanish/English bilingual speaking skills highly desired Frequent contact with the public and members of the criminal justicecommunity sometimes in adverse conditions Exposure to all weather conditions Spend long hours sitting in vehicles while stationary or moving Coordinate the movement of more than one limb simultaneously(e.g., operate a motor vehicle) Communication skills enough to convey information verbally and in writing Must be able to hear and speak on the radio and telephone Must be able to lift and carry at least 40 pounds.Duties: Will be a non-sworn employee of the Police Department. Will beassigned to the Weld County Drug Task Force as part of the department'scommitment to counter drug operations. Duties include but are not limitedto: Vetting and tracking drug tips, logging and interpreting criminalintelligence information, operation and maintenance of various coverttools and systems, writing reports, providing investigative andadministrative support, interacting with citizens, giving presentations,logging and entering evidence and investigative field work. Requires theability to write clear, concise and accurate reports; have excellentcommunication skills. May be required to testify in court.TESTING: Selected applicants will be required to take and pass apolygraph and rigorous background investigation prior to employment.
