We'll celebrate milestones and acknowledge the value ofspirituality in healing.We're proud of what we know, which includes how much there is to learn.Your day.As a Lab Supervisor you need to know how to:Supervise the technical and operational management of the department.Collaborate with department leadership team to evaluate service needs andvolumes and adjust staffing levels accordingly. Assign daily work schedules.Act as a resource technologist in the daily operations and activities of thedepartment. Perform technologist duties as required.Develop, implement and teach new and evolving testing and technologies.Direct and coordinate training of new employees. Oversee supply and equipmentinventory to maintain optimal supply levels and ensure equipment repairs andpreventative maintenance occur in a timely manner.Support the department leadership team in problem solving to address issuesrelating to patient safety, care and service. Promote effective workingrelations and work effectively as part of a department/unit team andinterdepartmentally to facilitate that department's ability to meet itsgoals and objective. Ensure coordination of care with other departments topromote the highest level of patient care and satisfaction.Assist with Human Resource management functions including interviewing,selection, orientation, education/training, feedback, performanceevaluation, and policy and procedure development. Assist in updating andmaintaining personnel files. Ensure associate competency. Maintain and monitorKronos records for employees. Present and document staff meetings as required.Assist in development of capital planning and operating budgets.Collaborate with the department leadership team and physician leader toidentify and drive quality and performance improvement initiatives. Ensurecompliance with applicable regulatory guidelines and established departmentalpolicies and procedures, objectives, quality assurance program,safety, environmental and infection control standards.Your experience.We hire people, not resumes.
