Work Schedule: Part Time Days
Provides patient care for a specific population (adolescent, adult, or geriatric). Provides health assessments, diagnosis, planning, implementation, evaluation, outcome identification, and treatment follow-up. Integrates education, research, management, leadership, and consultation into clinical role.
Manages the medical needs of adolescent, adult, and geriatric populations in an age appropriate manner. Integrates advanced education, research, management, leadership, and consultation.
Uses prescriptive authority, procedures and treatments in accordance with laws and regulations and institutional guidelines.
Supervision by psychiatrist is required if without prescriptive license. Collects patient health data. Determines the diagnosis. Identifies expected outcomes with the health care team; develops plans that include interventions and treatments to attain expected outcomes.
Utilizes research and evidenced-based practices. Interprets laboratory and other studies.
Within scope of job, requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgement and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and take appropriate action.
Minimum Required Education: Master's degree in Nursing (MSN).
Required Licensure/Certification: State licensure as a Nurse Practitioner. Unrestricted medical staff membership at system hospitals, with appropriate practice privileges. Allied Health credentialing through system Medical Staff Services office required. Prescriptive authority preferred. Willingness to work toward prescriptive authority with supervision. Certification in specialty area preferred. Basic Life Support (BLS) Healthcare Provider.
Minimum Experience: None Required. Preferred: 5 years of acute care nursing experience in the identified area of expertise.
BLS through the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross CPR for the Professional Rescuer with card in-hand before start date. BLS or CPR card must be good through sixty days of hire. All life support certification cards must be issued by either the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross CPR for the Professional Rescuer. (American Red Cross for the Professional Rescuer is only good upon hire and all renewals will need to be through an American Heart Association sanctioned course.)
This position's pay range starts at: $44.330000/hour.
An annual bonus may be paid to eligible employees based upon organizational and individual performance.
