Here is some of what you can expect from being a Radiation Therapist with us: * You will perform and deliver a physician-prescribed radiation therapy treatment to patients * You will calculate proper machine settings * You will assist the physicians with patient care * You will assist with the preparation and process of special procedures such as IMRT, simulations, field modifications of devices * You will provide patient care information and evaluate patient’s physical and psychological status * You will know and utilize radiation safety techniques
Qualifications you will need for this role: * Current ARRT certification or registry eligible * Current BLS certification through AHA or ARC * Graduate of AMA approved school of Radiation Therapy Technology * Previous experience in Radiation Oncology is preferred * Must have strong communication skills in order to communicate with staff, patients and physicians * Must be able to demonstrate strong technical skills needed for daily patient treatments * Must be able to perform simulation procedures, cerrobend block design and daily treatments with minimal supervision
