POSITION SUMMARY: The PARAMEDIC under the direction of the designated Emergency Departmentphysician, charge nurse and Director of Emergency Services at SwedishEmergency Room is responsible for implementing technical procedures and careto Emergency Department patients safely and effectively. The quality of careand service given will adhere to the philosophy and objectives of SwedishMedical Center in order to meet the healthcare needs of patients and theirfamilies. The Paramedic works responsibly under the direct supervision andresponsibility of the Emergency Department (ED) physicians performing carefor patient(s) in accordance with physician's orders, policies,procedures, established standards and administrative policies. QUALIFICATIONS POSITION REQUIREMENTS: LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION/REGISTRATION: * Current AHA Healthcare Provider (BLS), ACLS Provider,PALS Provider certifications. * Current certification in the State of Colorado as aParamedic. EXPERIENCE: * Minimum 2 years of experience in the clinical setting as a Paramedic.Preferred 1-2 years of hospital experience.
