THIS IS A PART TIME POSITION COVERING MOSTLY DAY AND EVENING SHIFTS,WITH ROTATING WEEKENDS. MAY COVER AN OCCASIONAL NIGHT SHIFT. Here is some of what you can expect from being a Medical Technologistwith us: You will provide technical quality testing for neonates, pediatrics,adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients in the laboratory setting incompliance with CAP, JCAHO, OSHA, AABB, FDA, and CLIA standards Your thorough understanding and application of the MT practice isessential due to the intense field of critical patient testing. Therefore,you must continuously strive to improve clinical testing through formal andinformal education You will maintain knowledge of all procedures and protocols You will perform required quality control and function verification ofequipment Qualifications you will need for this role: ASCP, NCA, AMT or HEW required. Eligible for registry; continuedemployment will be based on licensure. A college graduate or equivalent who has passed a certificationexamination for Medical Technologist/Medical Laboratory Scientist by ASCP,NCA, AMT OR HEW Certification. NCA and ASCP Certification requires a B.A. orB.S. in Medical Technology or related field (Chemistry, Biology,etc.), and one-year internship or appropriate experience prior toexamination. HEW Certification requires a combination of education andexperience (military or otherwise) prior to examination. Associate degreeand successful completion of an accredited MLT program, with ASCP BoardCertifi Prefer 1- 2 yrs. of clinical laboratory experience Prefer a working knowledge of antigen/antibody reactions, use ofblood components, compatibility testing, and regulations Swedish Medical Center, part of HCA's HealthONE, is located in thesouth metro Denver area where it has been a proud member of the community formore than 110 years.
