Unlock your potential here!Here is some of what you can expect from being a Medical Technologist with us:You will provide technical quality testing for neonates, pediatrics,adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients in the laboratory setting incompliance with CAP, JCAHO, OSHA, AABB, FDA, and CLIA standardsYour thorough understanding and application of the MT practice is essentialdue to the intense field of critical patient testing. Therefore, you mustcontinuously strive to improve clinical testing through formal and informaleducationYou will maintain knowledge of all procedures and protocolsYou will perform required quality control and function verification ofequipmentQualifications you will need for this role:ASCP, NCA, AMT or HEW required. Eligible for registry; continuedemployment will be based on licensure.A college graduate or equivalent who has passed a certification examinationfor Medical Technologist/Medical Laboratory Scientist by ASCP, NCA, AMTOR HEW Certification. NCA and ASCP Certification requires a B.A. or B.S. inMedical Technology or related field (Chemistry, Biology, etc.), andone-year internship or appropriate experience prior to examination. HEWCertification requires a combination of education and experience (militaryor otherwise) prior to examination. Associate degree and successfulcompletion of an accredited MLT program, with ASCP Board CertificationPrefer 1- 2 yrs. of clinical laboratory experiencePrefer a working knowledge of antigen/antibody reactions, use of bloodcomponents, compatibility testing, and regulationsSwedish Medical Center, part of HCA's HealthONE, is located in the southmetro Denver area where it has been a proud member of the community for morethan 110 years.
