Job Code: 03167-76606 Full-time No Weekends POSITION SUMMARY The MEDICAL STAFF SERVICES MANAGER oversees credentialing and providescoverage for the Director of Medical Staff Services in his/her absence, asneeded. This position is primarily responsible for coordinating and managingthe program for credentialing and privileging activities for applicants forappointment/reappointment of medical staff and advanced practiceprofessional privileges/practice prerogatives. This position also serves asthe hospital coordinator to include assuring compliance with hospital andregulatory policies. This includes interaction with the Chief MedicalOfficer, Central Processing Center (CPC), HealthOne CredentialsSupport Center (CSC), hospital departments, outside facilities,administration, physicians including medical staff leadership and DepartmentChairmen. In addition, the Medical Staff Services Manager will haveresponsibility for providing administrative support to designated clinicaldepartments including working with the Department Chair for credentialing andprivileging and coordination of department meetings.
