As an SLP you need to know how to: * Carry out speech therapy evaluations, program planning andtreatments for hospital inpatients and outpatients. * Work closely with the Physical Medicine Director in coordinatingspeech therapy activities with other hospital disciplines and in developing aprogram for department expansion, community and physician marketing,budget needs, and department administration. * Work independently with limited contact with other Speech LanguagePathologists. Your experience. We hire people, not resumes. But we also expect excellence, which iswhy we require: * Masters degree in speech pathology, required * Current license to practice speech-language pathology in the State ofColorado, required * Certificate of Clinical Competency (CCC) and achieve clinicalcompetencies by the required clinical internships, required * Strong Clinical Fellows with demonstrated competence may work undersupervision of a Speech Language Pathologist while completing the fellowshipyear, required * Current BLS certification endorsed by the American HeartAssociation, required by completion of the unit-specific orientation andbefore working independently * At least six (6) months of experience in the acute care setting,including experience with Modified Barium Swallow Studies, preferred Your next move.
