The SLHS major is intended toprovide undergraduate students with the prerequisite coursework to pursue agraduate degree in speech-language pathology or audiology. Qualifiedapplicants will be placed in the departmental pool and will be considered foraffiliate needs beginning Fall 2019 through Spring 2022.The University is particularly interested in applicants who have experienceworking with students from diverse backgrounds and a demonstrated commitmentto improving access to higher education for under-represented groups.Metropolitan State University of Denver is an equal opportunity employer. Duties/ResponsibilitiesTeach 3 or more credit hours. Affiliate faculty members deliver assignedcourses in a manner that is consistent with the content and learningobjectives of the regular course syllabus and are available to students,either face-to-face or electronically, in assigned classes to provideadditional academic support as needed and appropriate for teachingassignments. Candidates need to be sensitive to the educational needs ofstudents from a diverse population, conduct student assessments asprescribed by the curriculum, and must be willing to adhere to policies andprocedures regarding students and faculty as established by the University andDepartment.Affiliate faculty are part-time, at-will employees hired to teach on a percredit hour basis for specific classes, as needed, on a semester bysemester basis. Affiliate Faculty are not eligible for benefit coverage underthe College's benefit program. All such teaching assignments are dependenton budget and enrollment.
