The APRN Clinical Nurse Specialist (CNS) influences patient outcomes and promotes evidence-based nursing care byapplying specialty knowledge and expert clinical practice across the client, nurse, and system spheres of influence. TheAPRN CNS role models clinical expertise in a specialty area and leads system wide changes which continuously improveoutcomes at the client, nursing practice, and organizational level. The APRN CNS empowers nursing through creating andsupporting environments which embrace continuous quality improvement and are hallmarked by collaboration,ethicaldecision making, caring, alleviation of suffering, and implementation of evidence-based practices.

What You Bring/Job Requirements

In addition to bringing your whole self to the workplace each day, qualified candidates will need the following:

2 years clinical nursing experience in designated specialty area preferred. The Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) isa professional nurse who is licensed to practice pursuant to the Nurse Practice Act of the Colorado Board of Nursing (BON).An APRN must have specialized education or training at the graduate level from an accredited academic institutionand shall obtain national certification from a nationally recognized accrediting agency.An APRN must designate a specific role and population focus. An APRN must be included on the advanced practice registryfor the State of Colorado.

Master's degree from a nationally accredited graduate degree program or a nationally accredited postgraduatecertificate program as of January 01, 2012.

Current Colorado Registered Nurse License

Board certified as an APN in a population foci and listed on the Colorado Advanced Practice Nurse (APN)registry.

Medium Work - (Exert up to 50lbs force occasionally, and/or up to 20lbs frequently, and/or up to 10lbs constantly)
