Because you believe that while individuals can be strong, the rightteam is invincible.Us.We are looking for a Radiology Technologist to join our team at Saint JosephHospital.As a Radiology Technician, you will be responsible for operatingradiologic equipment to produce clinical diagnostic x-ray films as prescribedby physicians and perform routine diagnostic procedures according toestablished standards and part of SCL Health, a faith-based, nonprofit healthcare organizationthat focuses on person-centered care. We'll celebrate milestones and acknowledge the value ofspirituality in healing.We're proud of what we know, which includes how much there is to learn.Your day.As a Radiology Technologist you need to know how to:Produce x-ray images of specified body areas as directed by the physician orradiologist ensuring clear and undistorted films. Position and instructpatients regarding x-ray procedures.Perform x-ray procedures using portable machine as requested by EmergencyDepartment and nursing units.Process films for radiologists reading/interpretation following establishedprocedures.Communicate with patients, families, healthcare team members, andphysicians both in-person and via telephone.Maintain X-ray and other equipment in efficient operating order; ensurepreventative maintenance is performed on a regularly scheduled basis;contact outside service for major malfunctions according to establishedguidelines.Promote effective working relations and work effectively as part of adepartment/unit team inter- and intra-departmentally to facilitate thatdepartment's/unit's ability to meet its goals and objectives.Your experience.We hire people, not resumes.
