Rose is an acute carehospital with 422 licensed beds, 1,150 employees, 150 volunteers, and1,500 aff POSITION SUMMARY: Responsible for timely and accurate insuranceauthorization and verification for patients scheduled for Radiology exams.This will include running reports, following up with physicians'offices, reviewing and updating orders and as any other needs to obtain anauthorization for an exam. Responsibility will also include schedulingpatients for Radiology test at multiple locations. Responsibilities will alsoinclude the ability to demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary tomanage the Radiology reception area. This position requires excellent customerservice, telephone and computer skills, as well as other office materialunderstanding and strong multi-tasking capabilities. Responsibilities willalso include assisting with patient scheduling, registration, check-in,billing functions and a call-back processes, which may include thecollection of patient co-pays and/or patient deductibles and patienttransport abilities. QUALIFICATIONS POSITION REQUIREMENTS: A. LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION/REGISTRATION: None required. B. EDUCATION: High school diploma or GED C. EXPERIENCE: Three or more years of experience in an Imaging department setting,specific to reception area functions, authorizations and scheduling.Knowledge of medical terminology highly preferred. D. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES: Knowledge of computers - preferably Radiology information software,registration and scheduling programs. Ability to multi-task efficiently.
