Radiologic Technologist - PRN (Job ID: 3534)Job Summary:Under the direction of a radiologist, performs generalradiographic/fluoroscopic examinations at a technical level not requiringconstant supervision. Performs a variety of technical imaging procedures thatentail application of ionizing radiation; therefore, prudent judgment,strong technical skills, and commitment to patient safety are consideredrequisite professional characteristics for individuals assuming the positionas a general radiologic technologist.Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:1. Demonstrated knowledge in how to operate general radiographic equipment andrelated technology. 2. Demonstrated competency in the performance of generalradiographic imaging studies. 3. Knowledge of how to address age-specific careneeds of patients and effective interpersonal skill sets that lead toproductive communications and collaborations. 4. Competency in interpretingphysician order requests for general radiographic imaging studies. 5. Abilityto exercise prudent judgment in selecting and configuring equipment settingsto compensate for patient physiologic variances. 6. Ability to consistentlyproduce quality images of various anatomical structures. 7. Ability to handlepatient specimens and laboratory equipment. 8. Ability to maintain theexpected level of competency. 9. Knowledge of safety and infection controlpractices to ensure a safe environment of care.Computers and Technology:1. Microsoft Office Suite experience required. 2. Electronic Health Managementexperience preferred.Education:1. Completion of a 2 year radiologic technology program approved by theAmerican Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) required. 2. BA/BSdegree preferred.Experience:One year of professional work experience in performing generalradiographic/fluoroscopic procedures preferred.Certificates, Licenses and Registration:1. Active American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)registration required. 2.
