Position SummaryResponsible and accountable for performing quality Pulmonary PhysiologyDiagnostic Testing in accordance with the standards set forth by AmericanThoracic Society (ATS), the American Association of Respiratory Care(AARC) and College of American Pathologists (CAP). This positionworks within interdisciplinary teams to provide safe and personalized care forEssential Duties1. Performs high quality pulmonary physiology diagnostic testing to assist thephysician in the diagnosis of Pulmonary-Cardiopulmonary conditions inaccordance with ATS, AARC and CAP standards.2. Prepares and completes all required documentation in a thorough andaccurate manner.3. Performs all related responsibilities associated with Pulmonary Physiologytesting to include operating and maintaining equipment in accordance withhospital and department safety policy and procedures.4. Participates in quality improvement processes on an on-going basis,including acting as quality control subject as assigned.5. Maintains continuing education requirements as outlined by specificcredentials through the National Board of Respiratory Care (NBRC) andinstitutional policies.6.
