The Pharmacy Technician will assist in the preparation and distribution of drugs, maintain drug inventory and records, and provide a variety of clerical and technical assignments to assist with all other job-related duties.

Labels products under Pharmacist's supervision, counts medications, and assist with the delivery of medications/supplies to patient homes and/or clinics. Assist pharmacist in the preparation of patient specific medications, I.V.’s, medication dispensing system, prepacking, and identifies and replaces outdated or unusable drugs. Assists Pharmacist with the information required to consult with patients regarding medications or supplies prescribed, including dosage, frequency, specialized requirements and possible drug interactions. Accesses, inputs, and retrieves prescription information from computer. Communicates directly with the physician office via phone/fax to obtain prescription clarifications in compliance with the rules and regulations set forth by the governing state board of pharmacy. Refers doctors' calls and patients' medical inquiries that require a Pharmacist judgment. Assist pharmacy staff with returns, recalls, procurement, and inventory. Responsible for participation in and documentation of monthly, quarterly, and annual quality control activities. Assist with information technology functions. Performs other job-related duties as assigned. Qualifications: Normally requires a minimum of 2 years experience as a pharmacy technician,mail order/speciatly pharmacy experience preferred. Certified Pharmacy Techncian (CPhT) required Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing Ability to work quickly and accurately under time and volume constraints Strong interpersonal skills Ability to resolve customer issues quickly and creatively in order to improve customer satisfaction Familiarity with pharmaceutical products, services and drug interactions Strong organizational skills; attention to detail Good analytical skills Job: Pharmacy Jobs
