Responsibilities. Like every member of the Apex Team, your role as an Industrial Hygiene Technician is key to the company’s success. While the responsibilities of the Industrial Hygiene Technician will vary day to day, in general you will often:

  • Asbestos surveys

  • Asbestos sampling

  • Moisture mapping

  • Visible suspect biological growth assessments

  • Lead surveys

  • Lead sampling

  • Asbestos abatement oversight

  • Air monitoring

  • Mold sampling and clearance protocols

  • Mold assessments

  • Industrial hygiene assessments

  • Ensure safe work practices on all project work.

  • Actively develop your own career path.

Minimum Requirements

Great minds think alike! Now that we understand each other, let’s sort through the minimum qualifications for this position:

  • GED or High School Diploma

  • The following state licenses with annual refresher certifications:

  • Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment (CDPHE)

  • Asbestos Building Inspector

  • Air Monitoring Specialist

  • Able to perform manual labor.

  • Ability to Lift 60lbs

  • Hazardous Waste/Material

  • Work in Confined Spaces

  • Work in Inclement Weather

  • Good driving record.

  • Thorough understanding of safe work practices in accordance with OSHA regulations
