We would love to talk to you about thisfantas We are seeking a HOME OXYGEN AUTHORIZATION COORDINATOR for our center toensure that we continue to provide all patients with high quality, efficientcare. We want you to apply now! * The home oxygen coordinator is responsible for managing the overallinitiation and completion of home oxygen set up, delivery, teaching andpatient satisfaction. * The coordinator will attend daily rounds, as applicable, to assistin forecasting potential discharges with home oxygen needs. * In collaboration, the floor case managers and respiratory therapistswill assist in the notification of these discharges. Qualifications for this role: * High School Graduate; Minimum 1 year experience working in a medicalenvironment * Minimum 1 year experience working in a medical environment; Must haveexperience in a fast moving, multi tasking environment with strongorganizational skills * Must possess good interpersonal and communication skills both in personand via telephone; Effective written communication skills: Must beproficient in Microsoft office including Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint. QUALIFICATIONS POSITION REQUIREMENTS: A. LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION/REGISTRATION: None required. B. EDUCATION: High school diploma or GED C. EXPERIENCE: Three or more years of experience in an Imaging department setting,specific to reception area functions, authorizations and scheduling.Knowledge of medical terminology highly preferred. D. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES: Knowledge of computers - preferably Radiology information software,registration and scheduling programs. Ability to multi-task efficiently. Skillin anticipating problems and the ability to use sound judgment and tact inhandling confidential matters. Knowledge of insurance company operations andauthorization functions. Skills and ability to navigate and understand orderentry and functions as well as rules and regulation with physician orders. DEGREE OF SUPERVISION REQUIRED: Minimal, agrees to comply with all regulations and policies as outlinedin policy and procedures manual.
