Duties/ResponsibilitiesTeach 3 or more credit hours. Available for consultation with students. Willwork and interact with diverse groups of individuals. Areas to be taughtinclude - INTEGRATIVE HEALTH CARE: Dynamics of Health, MedicalTerminology, Holistic Health, Complementary and Alternative MedicalTherapies, Clinical Pathophysiology and Men's Health.Affiliate faculty are part-time, at-will employees hired to teach on a percredit hour basis for specific classes, as needed, usually on a semesterby semester basis. Affiliate faculty are not eligible for benefit coverageunder the University's benefit program. All such teaching assignments aredependent on budget and enrollment. An affiliate faculty member's dutiesinclude: meeting assigned classes or delivering on-line content consistentwith university, college/school, and department policies; providinginstruction in assigned classes consistent with the content and learningobjectives of the regular course syllabus and, if appropriate, withdepartment course coordination policies; being available, either face toface or electronically, to students in assigned classes to provideadditional academic support as needed and appropriate for the teachingassignment; and complying with university-wide student evaluation ofinstruction policies and peer observation policies.The University is particularly interested in applicants who have experienceworking with students from diverse backgrounds and a demonstrated commitmentto improving access to higher education for under-represented groups.
