Denver Health Food Service Diet Technician (FTE .5) - Eating Disorders Unit in Denver, Colorado

Job Summary Under minimal supervision, performs inpatient nutrition by assembling food trays for eating disorder patients. Utilizes computer system to process menus and diet information. Performs routine clerical and tray line duties.

Minimum Qualifications Education 1. Associates degree in nutrition, dietetics, or culinary arts required. 2. Bachelor’s degree in nutrition, dietetics, or culinary arts preferred.

Experience 1. One year experience in hospital or extended care facility required.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities 1. Presents self in a highly professional manner to others and understands that honesty and ethics are essential. 2. Ability to maintain a positive attitude. 3. Ability to communicate with co-workers and other departments with professionalism and respect. 4. Maintains a professional relationship with all coworkers, vendor representatives, supervisors, managers, customers, and client representatives. 5. Basic food-handling skills. 6. Knife skills training required. 7. Significant walking or other means of mobility. 8. Ability to work in a standing position for long periods of time (up to 8 hours).

Computers and Technology 1. Computer skills required. 2. Computer skills preferred. Certificates, Licenses and Registration 1. Serv Safe certified preferred. Supervisory Responsibilities This position has no supervisory responsibilities
