Donation Attendant is the right opportunity for you!Goodwill's retail division is comprised of a network of 30+ retail andoutlet stores throughout metro Denver and northern Colorado. Profits fromthese retail stores, as well as donor contributions, fund Goodwill'shighly successful programs in workforce development. We help people find thetools to succeed at work and in life. Goodwill programs serve at-risk youth,struggling families and individuals with disabilities, helping them toovercome barriers and be successful and self-sufficient through education,self-empowerment and employment.With minimal supervision, you will:Work at various donation center and trailer sites as required.Work various hours depending upon location and time of year.Greet and thank donors for their donation in a courteous manner.Assist donors in unloading donations from their vehicle.Sign, dates and issues a receipt to donor.Sort, pack and secure donated goods in an efficient and safe manneraccording to set procedures.Communicate to Manager when trailer is at 50% capacity.Familiarize themselves with Goodwill's mission and activities in order toanswer donor's questions.Assist all drivers in unloading and loading of trucks and/or trailers.Maintain cleanliness and appearance of donation center or trailer site whereassigned.Follow all access control and security procedures. Communicate donation volumeof center and ACC trailer's remaining capacity to Transportation Manager atthe end of each day.Build and maintain effective quality working relationships with management,co-workers, customers and donors.Treat everyone with dignity and respect.Immediately advises supervisor of significant and unexpected problems.Promote and demonstrate teamwork and cooperation.Complete assignments accurately and timely.Safeguard all Goodwill property including donated goods. Reports anysuspicious behavior, incidents of theft, or unauthorizedpossession/removal of Goodwill property.Follow all Goodwill policies and procedures.Follow safety rules and regulations.Act safely at all times.Support the best elements of our corporate culture while making culturechange.Open to and supportive of new ideas and process improvement of systems andprocedures.Work flexible schedules, overtime, evenings, weekends and holidays ifrequired.Perform other duties as assigned.Physical Requirements: Very Heavy Work: Lifting and Carrying objectsweighing 30 pounds constantly, 40 pounds frequently, and 50 poundsoccasionally to raise objects from a lower to a higher position or movingobjects horizontally from position-to- position requiring the substantial useof the upper extremities and back muscles . Pushing and Pulling: Using upperextremities to exert force in order to push, pull, draw, drag, haul ortug objects in a sustained motion exerting 50 pounds of force constantly, 75pounds of force frequently, and 100 pounds of force occasionally.Education and Experience: High school diploma or general education degree(GED).
