This individual is responsible for coordinating thosesystems necessary for identification, evaluation, monitoring, reductionand/or elimination of professional and general liability risk exposures. TheDirector will collaborate with staff throughout the hospital and providecounseling and education to facility leadership, clinical personnel, andmedical staff members related to risk exposures including risk prevention andrisk reduction. The Director will participate in the management and support ofprofessional liability litigation at the direction and under the guidance ofthe HCI Department of Claims. The Director also serves as the Patient SafetyOfficer and collaborates with the Facility Safety Officer.
