Reporting directly to the Senior Vice President & Chief Clinical Officer, this position is responsible for clinical and quality oversight of the day-today work of Physician Residency Programs, Research Operations and Cancer Registry. These responsibilities include the meeting all institutional specific residency requirements (ACGME) for graduate medical education (GME), grant administration, and regulatory research requirements industry sponsors, state and national registries. Oversees all Centura physician residency programs and is responsible for the strategic, enterprise-wide leadership for the administration, planning and implementation of organized clinical education of physician residency programs with guidance and supervision of residents, facilitating ethical, professional and personal development while ensuring safe and appropriate care for patients.

Responsible for coordinating clinical research, providing direction and guidance for all research initiatives conducted within Centura Health, including alignment with Centura's local Institutional Review Board (IRB) at Common Spirit as well as national, accredited IRBs and in association with collaborative research partners including facility leaders, principal investigators, nursing, revenue management, legal, and corporate responsibility.

What You Bring/Job Requirements

In addition to bringing your whole self to the workplace each day, qualified candidates will need the following:

  • Requires clinical degree; doctorate (MD, DO)

  • Master's Degree, Law Degree or related graduate degree, required.

  • Certified Research Contract Professional, Certified Clinical Research Professional, Certified Clinical Research Associate or Current certification in the specialty by the American Board of Internal Medicine

  • 3 years of progressive experience in managing physician organized educational physician residency programs, education/physician development and/or academic instruction.

  • 2 years of clinical research experience in managing and working with Institutional Review Board.

  • Demonstrated experience in curriculum development, evaluation methodology, teaching, and mentoring residents
