The Emergency Department at St. Thomas More consists of 13 ED beds, three behavioral Health rooms and five fast tracks. The Emergency Department handles acute and subacute issues. We are a Level IV trauma center but are rural and critical access. We're located in a tourist area with many outdoor activities, so trauma is a big part of our care and we have a broad case mix. We see everything from major traumas, STEMIs, and strokes to minor cases of viral illness and well-child checks. We are proficient in EMTALA laws with ourstabilization and transfer experience of acutely emergent patients. We see neonates to geriatrics and even treat an inmate population. Occasionally, we need to board a patient. Our culture, teamwork and team dynamics are unlike any other. We have a great relationship with our associates and physicians. Our team is our extended family. We look for candidates that are willing to learn, are friendly, flexible and focused on providing agreat patient experience.
