Registered Nurse (RN) - Inpatient Rehabilitation - Broomfield Hospital - Broomfield, CO
Broomfield Hospital is a 40 bed community hospital serving the Broomfield, Westminster, Boulder and surrounding communities. The UCHealth Rehabilitation Unit at Broomfield is a partnership between UCHealth and Boulder Community Hospital. The acute inpatient rehab unit is a 24 hour specialized nursing unit that helps patients with major injuries and illness. Conditions that are treated include amputation, brain injury, neurological disorders, stroke and complex medical and orthopedic conditions.
Part-Time .6 FTE (48 hrs bi-weekly)
Broomfield Inpatient Rehab Unit
Plans, implements, and evaluates patient care plans based on patient assessment to optimize outcomes andmaximize available resources.
Monitors, records, and communicates patient condition as appropriate. Collaborates as needed across disciplines to coordinate patient care, includingpatient transfer, discharge, referral and spiritual/psychosocial support needs.
Evaluates learning needs of patient and/or family and provides patient/family education appropriate to age, culture, condition, and circumstances.
Effectively delegates patient care to ancillary personnel. May precept student nurses and new hires.
Within scope of job, requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgement and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in afast-paced environment and take appropriate action.
Graduate of an accredited Registered/Professional Nursing program if less than 3 years experience. Preferred: Bachelor’s degreein Nursing.
State licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN).
Minimum Experience: 6 months nursing experience.
BLS through the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross CPR for the Professional Rescuer with card in-hand before start date. BLS orCPR card must be good through sixty days of hire.
