As Senior Vice President (SVP) and Chief Nursing Officer (CNO)you would report to the Chief Operating Officer Hospital Operations and beresponsible for the overall responsibility for nursing practice and patientexperience across the system. Direct reports include all care-site CNOs whohave a matrix reporting relationship to their care-site President. YOUR DAY As the SVP CNO you will focus on overall quality of care, patientsafety, patient and family experience, nursing practice, standards ofcare, leadership development, succession planning, and fiscalresponsibility while adhering to Ethical and Religious Directives. As anexecutive you will provide strategy, leadership direction, and caredelivery changes that are based on evidence, promote integrated processesand improve reliability of outcomes with a strong focus on clinicalintegration. You will create structures that support a system approach toclinical and non-clinical processes with the ability to effectivelycommunicate a strong vision for integration throughout multiple sites,entities, and large geographic areas. Additionally, as the SVP Chief Nursing Officer you will: * Ensure a practice environment that enables the implementation ofevidence-based nursing best practices that are consistent throughout theorganization and aligned with the organizations broader quality improvementefforts and strategic initiatives. * Be responsible for developing and communicating the vision for nursingpractice in an integrated operating healthcare delivery system. * Actively engage in discussions and development of models thatcoordinate care across the continuum, are focused on transitions of care andthe nursing model of care delivery.
