Full-time - 36 hours a week - Mid Shift

POSITION SUMMARY Provides patient care, identifying and implementing nursing interventions, and evaluating outcomes. This position holder is responsible for behaviors and functions identified in essential duties, assumes ongoing competency, and participates in quality improvement. Care is provided to all ages with problems ranging from simple, non-urgent to complex, life-threatening conditions. All documentation, tracking and aftercare is electronic and computer-based.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS Education or Formal Training Special Qualifications (Licensure, Registration, etc.)
- Colorado Nursing License in good standing
Certifications required before end of conditional period; suspension if certification lapses:
BLS certification - Employees hired prior to 3/6/15 must have current BLS by 12/31/15.
PALS or ENPC certification
TNCC certification within 6 months of hire, or upon the expiration of the current certification.
NIHSS certification required by 12/31/17and within 6months of hire.
NRP -- Neonatal Resuscitation Program desirable
CEN – Certification for Emergency Nursing – desirable
Experience One-year RN clinical experience in ED, Critical Care or Telemetry preferred.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to constantly stand and walk. The employee frequently is required to stoop, crouch and twist. The employee is occasionally required to kneel, squat and sit.
The employee must be able to consistently support, push, pull and/or lift up to 10 pounds, frequently support, push, pull and/or lift up to 30 pounds and occasionally support, push, pull and/or transfer up to 50 pounds (for example, moving a patient from a wheelchair to a bed).
Functional physical demands include manual dexterity, fine motor skills and reaching. The following senses will be needed for essential duties of the job: speech, vision, hearing, smell and touch.
