Aerotek Laboratory Equipment Manager in Boulder, Colorado

Aerotek Scientific is actively recruiting for a Lab Equipment Manager for a biotech company in Boulder, CO. This is a part time role that will be Monday-Friday and eventually go full time.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Maintaining the Clinical Laboratory equipment master spreadsheet per company policies

  • Managing instrument service agreements with Laboratory, Finance/Accounting and Legal team members

  • Request, review, and receive the necessary approvals for service maintenance contracts including direct from vendor and through a service group(s).

  • Manage monthly reporting of equipment maintenance with cross-functional team

  • Post and generate environmental monitoring logs for review and approval per company policies

  • Maintain logs of environmental monitoring and workstation/equipment

  • Sourcing and purchasing of clinical laboratory equipment

  • Identifying needs with internal stakeholders

  • Locating equipment from vendor or second source

  • Purchase request and Purchase order management related to equipment

  • On-boarding and retirement of equipment as it enters/exits clinical laboratory use

  • Scheduling or facilitating removal of equipment with finance/accounting, lab team, and facilities (and vendor as needed)

  • Completion of documentation per internal procedures and policies

  • Scheduling and facilitating installation of equipment with facilities, vendor and lab team

  • Scheduling or performing instrument maintenance procedures

  • In accordance with internal policies and manufacturers recommendation

  • Ad-hoc, Quarterly and annual requirements

  • Coordinating service vendor visits, or shipping of equipment for repairs

  • Contracting and scheduling medical waste pickups

  • Continually collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure adequate backup power, space, ventilation meet the Laboratory requirements

Key Knowledge, Skills Requirements:

  • Excellent communicator

  • Fluent with standard laboratory equipment and reagents used in molecular biology and mass spectrometry

  • Ability to work successfully with multiple internal and external stakeholder in securing timely decisions on key purchases and agreements

  • Experienced negotiator on Vendor and Service Agreements

  • Ability to meet timelines with while keeping team updated on progress and hurdles
