Starting rate of $26.43 per hour, additional consideration based on years of experience. A differential is provided for flexibility associated with scheduling.

As a clinical employee for BCHC, which serves young, middle and older adult’s homecare needs, the Staff Nurse provides skilled nursing assessment, evaluation and care to patients in their homes in accordance with the plan of treatment.
Education or Formal Training
Special Qualifications (licensure, registration, etc.)
Current license to practice as a RN in the State of Colorado.
BLS certification from the American Heart Association required by the end of the conditional period.
Valid Driver's License and auto insurance as required by state law.
Require at least one year recent experience in an acute hospital setting. (med surg, ICU, oncology)
Broad clinical background required.
One year experience in home care or hospice preferred.
WORKING ENVIRONMENT/PHYSICAL ACTIVITIES
Working in patients' homes in varied conditions of cleanliness, clutter or safety.
Occasional animals in home or yards.
Possible exposure to infectious diseases.
Driving up to 45 minutes in all weather and terrain conditions.
Endurance to care for a patient for extended periods of time.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to constantly stand and walk. The employee frequently is required to stoop, crouch and twist. The employee is occasionally required to kneel, squat and sit.
The employee must be able to consistently support, push, pull and/or lift up to 10 pounds, frequently support, push, pull and/or lift up to 30 pounds and occasionally support, push, pull and/or transfer up to 50 pounds (for example, moving a patient from a wheelchair to a bed).
Functional physical demands include manual dexterity, fine motor skills and reaching. The following senses will be needed for essential duties of the job: speech, vision, hearing, smell and touch.
