JOB SUMMARY:The Director has overall responsibility for the company's Environmental,Health, Safety, and Sustainability (EHSS) program. The includesleadership to maintain EHSS compliance and continuous improvement. EHSSsupports operations of biologic contract development and manufacturingorganizaThe Director of EHSS provides leadership to establish high standards ofcompliance and collaboration for a robust safety and sustainability culture.The Director develops and implements strategies, processes, systems,procedures, and metrics to achieve excellent EHSS outcomes and performanceacross multiple sites and locations.Working with leaders, EHSS team members, SMEs, and colleagues across theorganization, the Director of EHSS will align and implement appropriategovernance, best practices, fill gaps, and drive maturity of the EHSSprogram. This person will develop and manage the budget and resources of amatrix organization. The Director must be an effective leader, mentor,and coach who thinks strategically and is effective tactically.Responsibilities include the primary global contact for response, incidentreporting and investigations, environmental permits, reporting, and riskmanagement. Represents the functional area to clients, auditors, andregulatory agencies. This position is responsible for EHSS metrics,reporting, compliance reviews, risk management, and ensuring complianceof applicable regulations. Oversees all applicable EHSS programs for the sitesuch as: LOTO, confined space entry, industrial hygiene, hazardcommunication, PPE, workers compensation, emergency management, etc.Coordinates with operations to identify and mitigate risks with effectiveengineering controls, procedures, and training.Oversees EHSS support for multiple sites. Develops subject matter experts inseveral areas. Applies approaches to develop and implement strategies,technologies, or other major improvements.
