Join usin our efforts to better our community! An ULTRASOUND TECHNOLOGIST helps doctors and other healthprofessionals diagnose patients' ailments. He or she operates specialequipment that uses high-frequency sound waves to record images of internalorgans. Other job titles for this occupation include ultrasound tech,diagnostic medical sonographer, or sonographer. As a Sonographer II: * You will perform diagnostic ultrasound procedures, operatesultrasound equipment, develops film, and prepares the room with thenecessary equipment and supplies for the procedure. * You provide an excellent patient experience with qualitydiagnostic results. * You will maintains technical skills and is responsible forthe use of equipment to minimize hazards and maximize patient safety. * Secondary duties include computer work, answering phones,ordering supplies, stocking the department, maintaining files and generalcleaning. * Assists in collecting data for PI monitors and conducting QCon equipment. Qualifications for Ultrasound Technologist (Sonographer II):Must be registered in Vascular and one of the two preferred specialties:Abdomen or Ob/Gyn) * Graduate of an accredited medical sonography programrequired. * Current certification by ARMS or ARRT (S or VS) required.Current BLS required. Must be registered in Vascular and one of the twopreferred specialties: Abdomen or Ob/Gyn. * Clinical rotation or 1 year of clinical experience preferred.
