Position Summary: *This position supports the mission of The Medical Center of Aurora/Centennial Medical Plaza of optimizing the quality of life of all those served by expanding beyond the traditional focus on medical needs to the needs of the whole person. The /Rehab Aide*/, under the supervision of the manager, prepares patients for and assists therapists in treatment, and demonstrates a good working knowledge of treatment techniques. Maintains the PM Department in a clean and orderly fashion. Communicates appropriate patient information. Assures adequate stock of supplies and performs clerical duties. When need arises, will perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.

A. *Licensure/Certification/Registration: *BLS certification required within 3 months of hire.
B. Education: HS Diploma or GED
C. *Experience:* None required. However, prior experience as a Rehab Aide or experience in a patient care related field (CNA or Patient Care Tech) preferred.
D. Special Qualifications: Ability to communicate effectively with patients, families, physicians, and other health care team members. Ability to work with others within a team to ensure quality patient care. Strong critical thinking skills. Ability to communicate with patients using auditory Input and Output.
Degree of supervision required: Involves general guidance and direction buy the Director and Manager. Care supervision will be performed by the delegating therapist or assistant. Employee will be expected to perform most job duties independently and in accordance with established departmental and hospital policies and procedures. Work performance is reviewed by peers and managers.
