Position Emphasis:
A Postdoctoral Research Fellow or Research Associate position is available for a qualified scientist to join the laboratory of Dr. Eduardo Davila in the Tumor Host Interactions Program and the Human Immunology and Immunotherapy Initiative at the University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus. Dr. Davila’s research team focuses on developing novel genetic that enhance effector function and maintenance of tumor-reactive T cell responses towards weakly immunogenic and lowly expressed tumor antigens as well as strategies to overcome the immunosuppressive tumor microenvironment to restore anti-tumor T cell responses. The successful candidate will be expected to lead and develop projects and perform independent experiments with a focus on tumor infiltrating lymphocyte therapy and TCR-engineered T cells.
Conditions of Employment:
Must be willing and able to travel to and present at conferences, travel off-campus to local universities, shift schedules as necessary, tend to experiments after hours and weekends. This is an essential services position. The incumbent is required to respond after hours during emergencies and report to work for regular assigned shifts during emergency campus closures.
PLEASE NOTE: Candidates will be responsible for travel expenses related to the interview process and any relocation expenses, if applicable.
Salary and Benefits:
The salary range for this position has been established at $65,000 - $75,000
The salary of the finalist(s) selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to, internal equity, experience, education, specialty and training.
The above salary range represents the University’s good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting. Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
A Ph.D. degree in biomedical sciences with background in immunology is required.
Experience in cloning and genetic T cell engineering, flow cytometry, and T cell culture are required.
Experience in handling mice, multi-parameter flow cytometry
Experience in bioinformatics and analyses
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with cloning, flow cytometry, and cell culture
Experience in GMP immune cell manufacturing
Experience with tumor infiltrating lymphocyte therapy
Experience with cell manufacturing
Experience in cancer immunology, cloning and genetic engineering, flow cytometry, and immune cell culture
Knowledge Skills, Abilities:
Knowledge in cancer immunology, molecular and cell biology, and biochemistry are necessary
The incumbent will need to have excellent communication skills and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
Ability to execute and prioritize multiple tasks simultaneously
Ability to design and perform experiments, develop, and learn new techniques, critically interpret experimental results, and present data
Ability to participate in the preparation of grant applications and publications
Excellent communication skills and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
Know how to operate Microsoft office, graphpad/Prism, analyze flow cytometry data.
Ability to mentor others in lab-related activities.
Ability to communicate effectively, both in writing and orally.
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees at all levels throughout the institution.
Demonstrated commitment and leadership ability to advance diversity and inclusion.
Knowledge in cancer immunology, molecular and cell biology, and biochemistry. Ability to execute and prioritize multiple tasks simultaneous

A track record of peer-reviewed scientific publication and experience in T cell-based therapy is preferred
