Viruses studied in the lab are positive strand viruses and HIV-1. Projects involve innate antiviral defense systems, including restriction factors, interferon-stimulated genes (ISGs), and prevention of systemic autoimmunity. Experience sets in molecular biology, innate immunity, virology, cell culture, mouse model experimentation, autoimmune models valued. Expertise in RNAseq and associated bioinformatics also valued.
