In order to ensure maximum quality patient care, the Medical Assistant provides clinical support to MCPN’s providers and clinical staff. The Medical Assistant will perform standard waived and moderate lab tests and EKGs and is responsible for annotation of temperatures for refrigerator, freezer, incubator and rooms on a daily basis as well as autoclaving instruments in accordance with daily and monthly cleaning schedules. The Medical Assistant will also prepare the exam room for receiving the patient, including an adequately stocked room and will assist provider with prescribed medication/samples from clinic medication outlet. They will give immunizations and injections per provider directive and record a brief history with vital signs, weight, height, last menstrual period, allergies, annotated on progress note.
Education or Formal Training: High School Diploma or G.E.D. and Graduation from an accredited Medical Assistant program.
Experience: Previous experience as an MA in clinical setting. Bilingual (Spanish) helpful but not required. Flexible Hours.
