CU Medicine is dedicated to providing healthcare and administrative support tothe University of Colorado School of Medicine's nearly 3,000+ providers.We are seeking a highly motivated Registration Coordinator to join ourRegistration team.The Registration Coordinator will perform verification on accounts receivedfrom registration interfaces, patient letters, and patient informationforms as well as perform charge entry. The individual in this position willprocess manual registrations in various systems and/ or update patientprofiles and accounts from information received through different sourcedocuments. Perform manual charge entry within targeted timeframe, ensurecharge information is correct and accurate. Obtain and track missinginformation needed for charges, identify common issues or trends which mayaffect claims and payments and promptly report them to supervisors. Verifyinsurance eligibility at the visit level via internet web sources, phone,fax and other resources. Process registration related edits to ensure accuratebilling of patient account. Verify and edit demographic and insuranceinformation. Update accurately into proper financial class at theregistration, visit and transaction levels. Maintain accurate and up to dateknowledge of insurance, financial status classes and Registration policy andprocedures. Demonstrate ability to balance competing priorities, deadlinesand fluctuating volumes and cross cover as needed within the team.Requires a high school diploma and a minimum of 1-2 years' experience in amedical billing/insurance setting. Must be able to type at least 40 wpm andhave good use of 10-key. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, internetusage, and web navigation is critical. High level customer service skillsand the ability to work and communicate with diversified internal and externalcustomers effectively via phone, email, and in person are essential.
