Continuum Of Colorado Health Services Manager in Aurora, Colorado

Continuum of Colorado has an opportunity for a Health Services Manager whowill get to provide supervision to nurses and oversee the provision of healthcare for individuals who receive services in residential, day program andworksite settings. This position will also provide health care information andtrain employees in medication administration and other related topics!More about what you'll get to do as our Health Services Manager Direct the activities of the Nurse(s) and provide clear objectives andoffer support as needed Review and assure appropriate processing of related documents forindividuals in services, (that is physician statements) Communicate and consult with appropriate internal or external providersregarding medical/behavioral needs and concerns Receive, organize and distribute physician orders and medicationadministration records Coordinate monthly medication orders and distribution of received medication Assure coordination of medical, laboratory and dental care and follow upas required Assure medical information is available for on-call coverage system tofunction appropriately Coordinate medically related projects and programs Serve as liaison between agency and medical facilities for all medicalhospital admissions, physicians and pharmacies, as needed Receive, review and approve pharmacy billings and submit for payment Approve budget requests for training, nursing conferences and journals Create and update medical protocols and various forms and procedures Complete, review and approve medical and health-related documents, asrequired Assure regular medical record reviews Provide on-call and after-hours consultation and/or evaluation for urgentand emergency situations as needed Participate in case reviews, medication reviews, medical chart auditsand clinics, as needed Cover Nurse Caseloads, as needed Provide medication administration training and conduct educationalin-servicesStarting Salary and Benefits$54,000 - $63,000 / annually A great work-life balance where our typical workweek is Mon-Thu = 36hours / week Health/dental/vision coverage Employer paid and supplemental life insurance Short- and long-term disability insurance Generous paid time off and holiday pay 401(k) investment plan, with an employer match of up to 4% Mileage reimbursement Tuition reimbursement program Healthcare reimbursement and flexible spending plans Onsite gym and lounge for employee use at both office locations Discounts on auto and homeowners insurance Employee assistance program Credit union membership Employer-paid trainingMust haves to be our Health Services Manager Registered Nurse License Minimum of two (2) years of supervisory experience Two (2) years of clinical or home-based nursing preferred; priorexperience in developmental disabilities preferred Ability to work independently with minimal supervision Excellent oral and written communication skills; able to effectively workwith individuals in service, staff, families and others Strong organizational skills Ability to work flexible hours Ability to meet physical demands of the position Ability to perform computer functions necessary to carry out jobresponsibilities Meet and maintain our driving requirements - no serious violation/no morethan 2 moving violations in past three (3) years
