Ideal candidate would have a solid foundation of hospital basedclinical experience (pediatrics, adult or both), as well as experiencein and passion for precepting interns. Seeking applicants with interest andskills in leadership, strengths in organization, coordination, buildingrelationships, coaching and mentoring. Demonstrated commitment to thedietetics professions and to dietetics leadership as evidenced by involvementin local, state and national dietetics organizations and committees a plus.The Dietetic Intern Program Coordinator is primarily responsible for providinginnovative leadership and management of the Accreditation Council forEducation in Nutrition and Dietetic (ACEND) accredited Dietetic InternshipProgram, operating as a shared program between Children's HospitalColorado and University of Colorado Hospital and School of Medicine. Possessdemonstrated ability to provide strong and consistent direction and leadershipin planning, organizing, implementing, and evaluating programoperations. Develops and maintains program curriculum in accordance with thestandards and requirements.This position is responsible for all duties of an ACEND Dietetic InternshipDirector including but not limited to the following: develops and maintainsthe program to meet all standards and requirements of the AccreditationCouncil for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND) includingcollection and reporting of data, conduct an annual program evaluation andprovide reports as designated, support communications activities associatedwith the program, serve as the program representative at meetings,establish and maintain partnerships to advance the program, coordinate andoversee preceptor involvement in the internship program, market the programfor successful recruitment of applicants who meet the ACEND requirements forintern participation, and maintain shared fiscal accountability withdepartment leadership in the development of and management of annual budgets.Responsible for coordinating the continuing professional education andcommunity benefit activities for Clinical Nutrition.
