As a Behavioral Health House Supervisor, you will work under the general supervision of the unit’s director or designee and you will assume responsibility for direction and coordination of all functions in the unit on your designated shifts. In collaboration with other members of the management team, you are responsible for the ongoing assessment of the quality of patient care services provided in unit.
What you will do in this role: * You will be responsible for operations of assigned departments and the integration of the service within overall hospital functions. * You will collaborate in decision-making structures and processes. * You will be knowledgeable of healthcare trends and integrates into strategic planning for department(s). * You will be accountable for the implementation of an effective and continuous program to measure, assess and improve performance. * You will manage productivity to achieve budgetary targets. * You will assume twenty-four hour responsibility for patient care and a leadership role with the health care team in planning and delivering patient care.
What qualifications you will need: * Current licensure in the State of Colorado as a Registered Nurse, or current active multistate Registered Nurse license. * Current Basic Life Support (BLS) through the American Heart Association or American Red Cross * Graduate of an accredited school of nursing; BSN or MSN, Master's of Nursing Administration or business related degree Preferred. * Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a comparable position preferred; recent clinical experience in specialty.
The Behavioral Health and Wellness Center is a 120 free standing facility that is part of The Medical Center of Aurora. The Center services the Adult, Senior Adult, Adolescent and Women’s populations and is part of The Medical Center of Aurora, the first community hospital in the Denver Metro area to receive three-time Magnet designation for nursing excellence by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC), is a 346-bed acute care hospital located in Aurora, Colorado.
