Job Summary

The University of Colorado Department of Radiology is seeking a fellowship-trained, CAQ eligible, Interventional Radiologist to join the Interventional Division at the level of Assistant or Associate Professor. This is a terrific opportunity to join a highly progressive department and institution, on a brand new state-of-the-art campus, in one of the best places to live in the United States.

Currently, the Division includes eight Interventionalists, four neurointerventionalists, and four physician assistants who together perform nearly 24,000 procedures annually. There is a hospital PICC service. The case load is very broad, with an emphasis on vascular and oncologic interventions. In addition, IR provides part-time coverage at our affiliate hospital, Children’s Hospital of Colorado.


This physician will perform diagnostic and therapeutic Interventional procedures on a daily basis. Call responsibilities are typically every sixth night and weekends. Fellow, resident, and medical student education in both an outpatient and inpatient setting are critical components of the position.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Medical Degree or equivalent

  • Colorado Medical License

  • ABR Certification or eligible

  • Interventional Radiology Fellowship Training

  • CAQ eligible

Required Competencies

Competency is required in the performance of diagnostic arteriography, vascular intervention, oncologic intervention including intra-arterial and percutaneous therapies, biliary, genitourinary, and GI intervention

Preferred Qualifications

The individual would have a proven interest in clinical research, education & academic productivity is preferred.
